Knowledge Communities

Our Knowledge Communities give you the ability to have a discussion around topic areas of interest, allow members to learn from one-another, share best practices, resources and valuable ideas. AIA Cleveland has four local Knowledge Communities, and AIA National supports twenty one different platforms through which members can engage with each other.

Historic Resources Committee (HRC)

The mission of the AIA Cleveland’s Historic Resources Committee (HRC) is to promote, advance and advocate for the preservation of Northeast Ohio’s architectural heritage among AIA members, allied organizations, and the public.

Design on Tap Committee (DOT)

We are the first local TAP Knowledge community in Cleveland! Design on TAP (DOT) is an AIA Cleveland TAP Knowledge community for exploring computational design and technology in architectural practice. Our mission is to create a regional network where design professionals can connect, share knowledge, and explore how technology is transforming architectural planning and practice.

If you have interests in BIM, computational design, AI, digital practice, visualization, interoperability, automation, or emerging technologies, we hope you'll join this committee to begin building a collaborative local network that complements the national TAP community.
